How do I refer a client who doesn’t already have a Countingup account?

You can refer a client who doesn’t already have an account to Countingup by following these steps:

1. Sign in to your Accountant Hub
2. Click ' Add client' 
3. Fill in the client's personal and business details
4. Click 'Add client' 

We will send your client an email with a link to download the Countingup app so they can apply for an account using their smartphone. We strongly recommend that you also tell your client to expect the invitation face to face, by phone or via an e-mail and to explain the benefit of using Countingup. You can find relevant resources to send them here.

Your client needs to use the same email address you’ve used to invite them to sign up to Countingup, otherwise you won’t be able to access their data in your Accountant Hub. If your client wants to use a different email address, simply repeat the steps above making sure to use that email address to invite the client.

In your Accountant Hub you can see all the pending client invitations you’ve sent by clicking on 'Client invitations sent'.
