We don't call our customers out of the blue so if you're on the phone with someone claiming to be from our team, hang up right now. No, you aren't talking to us. We'll never call you to discuss fraud, scams, or keeping your business account safe. We only ever communicate with you securely through the app or over email, so any unexpected call is always a fake. Don't give them the chance to convince you otherwise.
We'll never ask you to
Move your money to a safe account or a holding account
Make a payment or transfer money anywhere for any reason
Approve a payment or "refund" in the app
Approve or reject a new device
Ignore an in-app fraud warning or safety alert while making a transfer
Share your PIN, passcode, or any one-time security codes sent to you by SMS or email
Download any screen-sharing apps or software to your device
What to do if you're suspicious of a call
Hang up immediately and send us a message in-app.
Criminals can be very persuasive and can easily spoof phone numbers to make them look genuine. If you feel pressured, panicked, or unsure, don't stay on the line to argue with them.
Just hang up straight away. Any genuine person would support your decision to put your safety and security first.
Report a phone scam
It's important you report what happened through the app so our security team can investigate immediately.
If you live in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland, please report the call to the Report Fraud portal or call 0300 123 2040.
If you're in Scotland, call Police Scotland on 101 to report the fraud directly.
