If you run into an error while linking an account or making a payment via Open Banking, it's usually due to an ineligible account, a temporary restriction or needing a quick top-up. Most issues that you might come across have been detailed below, and we've included any fixes that can get you back on track.
Errors when setting up a connection
Account suspended: If your account has a temporary restriction, you won't be able to link it to any other apps right now. To get this sorted, please tap the speech bubble icon in your app 💬. This will connect you to our in-app chat assistant, who will ask a couple of quick questions and get you straight to the right team to help.
Account not supported: If your sort code starts with 23-69-72, this specific account type can't use Open Banking features at the moment. We're always working to improve our services, so we hope to open this up to more accounts in the future 🚀
Errors when making payments
Insufficient funds: This just means there isn't quite enough money in your business account to cover the payment right now. You will just need to add some money to your account before you try again.
No accounts available: If you see this message, it means that while the other app recognises us as a provider, the specific account you hold with us cannot be linked to third-party tools yet. We know this can be frustrating, but we are looking into expanding this down the road, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀
