If you are VAT registered, you can add your VAT registration number in the app in just a few taps. Keeping this updated is essential if you send invoices, as HMRC requires you to display your VAT number. It is also required if you want to file your VAT returns directly to HMRC through the app.
⚠️ Important: The app currently supports the standard VAT accounting scheme only.
How to enter your VAT number
Before you start, make sure you have your 9-digit UK VAT registration number handy.
Open the app and go to the Home tab.
Tap the Profile icon in the top left corner.
Tap Business details.
Tap VAT. If you have not turned this on yet, tap My business is VAT registered and follow the on-screen steps.
Tap VAT number.
Enter your VAT number.
Double-check that the numbers are correct, then tap Confirm.
