Online payments can fail for several reasons, from simple typing errors to security blocks. Most often, a quick check of your card status or balance in the app will solve the problem. It is also worth noting that because your business card is a pre-paid card, a small number of merchants may have specific restrictions in place that prevent the transaction from completing.
Initial troubleshooting
Before trying the payment again, please check the following in your app:
Check your card status. Ensure your card is active and has not been frozen or blocked. You can toggle this setting instantly within the app.
Check your available balance. As these are business accounts, they cannot go overdrawn. You must have enough funds to cover the full cost of the purchase at the time of the transaction.
Verify your card details. Double-check that you have entered the correct card number, expiry date, and the 3-digit CVV code on the back.
Understanding merchant compatibility
While the vast majority of retailers accept our cards, some websites have restrictions against pre-paid cards. If you have confirmed your details are correct but the payment is still being declined, it may be due to the merchant's internal payment policy.
You can usually find this information on the merchant's checkout screen or within their website's FAQ section by searching for "pre-paid cards." If they do not accept this card type, you may need to use an alternative payment method for that specific provider.
Still having trouble?
If you have verified your balance and card status and are sure the merchant accepts pre-paid cards, please try the payment one more time. If it still fails, get in touch with our support team through the app, and we can look into the specific reason for the decline. 💬
