If you have changed your name, you can update your business account by providing us with formal evidence of the change. This ensures that your financial records are accurate and that your account remains compliant with UK banking regulations. Whether you have recently married, entered a civil partnership, or changed your name by deed poll, the process is simple and can be completed by sending us a clear photo of your legal document through the app.
Limited Company directors
If you are the director of a limited company, there is an extra step you must take before we can update your account. You are legally required to update your personal details with Companies House first. Once your new name is reflected on the official public register, please follow the steps below to update your records with us. 🏛️
How to submit your name change
To update your details, please send us a message through the Help section in the app. You will need to attach a high-quality photo of one of the accepted legal documents listed below. Our team will review your evidence and notify you as soon as your account has been updated.
Accepted documents
You can provide any of the following original documents as proof of your name change:
Identity Documents: A valid photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence) already showing your new name.

Legal Changes: An enrolled or unenrolled deed poll, or a Statutory Declaration sworn by a solicitor.
Divorce & Dissolution: A divorce decree absolute or a Final Dissolution Order.
