You can update your business trading name directly within the app to reflect how your brand appears to customers. While this change updates your profile immediately, please note that it does not affect your official registered company name used on bank statements or legal correspondence. If you have officially changed your registered company name, you must notify Companies House before contacting our support team to update your account records.
How to update your trading name in the app
Updating your "trading as" name is a simple process that you can complete yourself without needing to contact support:
Open the app and tap the Profile icon in the top-left corner of the home screen.
Select Business details.
Tap Change trading name.
Enter your new trading name and tap Update.
Your profile will update instantly. This is the name your customers will see if you use the app to share payment links or manage invoices.
Changing your official registered name
It is important to remember that your trading name is different from your official company name. Only your registered company name will appear on your bank statements and official account letters.
If you need to change your official registered name for a limited company, you must first complete the process with Companies House. Once they have updated their public register, please send us a message through the Help section of the app. We will then verify the change and update your official account records to match. 🏛️
