This short cooling-off period helps keep your business safe.
How to update your number in the app
Updating your contact information takes just a few moments. Follow these steps to change your mobile number:
Open the app and tap the Profile icon in the top-left corner of the home screen.
Select Personal details.
Tap Change mobile.
Enter your new phone number.
You will receive a one-time passcode (OTP) via SMS to your new number.
Enter this security code into the app to confirm the change. 💬
Once verified, your new number will be used for all future security alerts and authentication requests.
⚠️ Security cooling-off period
To keep your money safe, setting up new payees will be disabled for 24 hours after you change your mobile number. This is a standard security measure designed to prevent unauthorised transfers in the event of an account takeover.
Don't worry, everything else will work as normal. You can still make payments to your existing saved payees, use your business card, and manage your invoices during this time. The restriction will lift automatically exactly 24 hours after the change was made. 🛡️
