You are free to close your business account at any time without paying any exit fees or being tied to a long-term contract. We understand that business journeys aren't always linear; if things have slowed down or haven't taken off as quickly as you hoped, we would love to chat and see if there is any way we can support you before you make a final decision.
How to close your account in the app
If you have decided to move on, you can start the closure process directly within your app. Please ensure you have another business or personal account ready to receive any remaining funds.
Open the app and go to the Home tab.
Tap the Profile icon in the top-left corner.
Scroll down and select Help.
Tap Close account.
Follow the prompts to ensure your balance is exactly £0.
Complete the Account closure form to help us process your request.
Once submitted, our team will review your request and send you an email confirmation as soon as the closure is finalised. This usually takes around seven working days. 🛠️
Managing your remaining balance
For your account to be closed, your balance must be exactly £0. You can clear your balance using one of the following methods:
Transfer it out: Simply move any remaining funds to another UK bank account.
Pay it forward: If you have a small remaining balance, we would be happy to donate it to charity on your behalf. Just let our support team know if you would like to choose this option. 💸
Accessing your data after closure
Closing your account means you will no longer be able to send or receive payments. However, we ensure you still have access to your historical records for bookkeeping and tax purposes.
You can continue to log in to the app to view and download your monthly statements whenever you need them. In line with UK anti-money laundering regulations and legal requirements, we are required to securely store your application and account records for seven years. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our privacy policy. 📁
