Freezing your card temporarily blocks all in-person payments, online purchases, and ATM withdrawals. This feature gives you immediate control over your account security if you misplace your card or suspect unauthorised activity. While your physical card is frozen, you can still use the app to make transfers and manage your finances, and you can "defrost" it instantly to resume spending as normal.
When should I freeze my card?
The freeze feature is a useful tool for managing your security in several common scenarios:
Misplaced card: If you can’t find your wallet but think it might just be at home or in your vehicle.
Suspicious activity: If you receive a notification for a transaction you don’t recognise.
Travel security: If you want to keep your card inactive while it’s stored in a hotel safe or during transit.
Merchant disputes: If you want to prevent a specific recurring payment while you resolve a service issue with a supplier.
How to freeze or unfreeze your card
You can manage your card status instantly within the app:
Open the app and go to the Home tab.
Tap the Card icon located in the top banner, just below your account balance.
Tap the Freeze button to temporarily block the card. ❄️
To reverse this, simply tap the Defrost button in the same location to unfreeze it.
Lost your card and your phone?
If you have lost both your card and the device you use to access the app, it is important to secure your funds immediately. Please contact our support team from another device or use our web portal to report the loss so we can protect your account and arrange for a replacement card. 🔐
