Who can apply?
To use our registration service, you’ll need to be:
At least 18 years old.
A UK resident.
New to Countingup: You don't already have an account or haven't registered a company with us before.
Is your company structure supported?
Our streamlined process is built for Limited by Shares companies. To register through the app, your new business must have:
A Sole Director: That’s you!
A Sole Shareholder: You own 100% of the shares (1 ordinary share).
One Person of Significant Control: Again, just you.
Note: If you need to add more directors or shareholders later, you can easily do that directly through Companies House once your company is set up.
What you’ll need to get started
Before you dive in, make sure you have:
The Countingup App: Installed on a smartphone (iOS 15.1+ or Android 7+).
A UK mobile number and email address.
Valid Photo ID: We accept passports, UK driving licences, or European ID cards. (We don't accept UK Biometric Residence Permits just yet).
